I've used this a couple times, I took one on yesterday, and it worked just fine. Word of advice... putting the legs underneath sand without the metal stays that come with it (or the bags intended for weight distribution) is not a good idea. I was in the water, and I looked back and noticed that someone (the wind) moved the entire tent!! I was like "What?! WHO has the NERVE to MOVE my #$%@ after all my hard work?!" I got out and saw lines in the sand! LOL!!! Well, I proceeded to put the stays in each of the plastic ports, and it didn't move anymore. (= Even when it started to rain (at an angle), it still provided protection for me. But most important was shade from the sun. It's got a neat 'exhaust' port at the top that allows for circulation and ventilation, and that's better that the port is in place.
